In two tragic incidents in Nushki, Balochistan, unknown assailants opened fire, resulting in 11 deaths and 3 injuries.
The Deputy Commissioner of Nushki reported that armed assailants abducted nine passengers from a bus on the national highway. They were taken towards the mountains. This bus had been en route from Quetta to Taftan.
Authorities later discovered the bodies of these nine individuals beneath a bridge near a hill in Nushki. It was confirmed that these passengers hailed from Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, and Wazirabad. No suspects have been apprehended or killed in connection with the abductions.
In a separate but related attack, assailants fired at a vehicle on the same national highway, killing two and injuring three. One of the deceased was identified as a relative of a Provincial Assembly member.
Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, has vehemently condemned these acts of violence. He assured that the perpetrators targeting innocent civilians would face justice, asserting a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism in the region.
