At least two youngsters were killed after they drove their speeding car into an electric pole late yesterday night in Karachi.
“The car, which was racing at near 200 kilometers an hour on Shara-e-Faisal, turned turtle near Nursery after hitting a pole with a bang and went rolling down the road for more than a hundred yards or so before coming to rest,” sources quoted an eyewitness as saying.
According to initial reports, of the at least four occupants of the vehicle, two died on the spot, while the rest were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC).
The high-speed accident left the car completely totaled beyond recognition making it extremely difficult for the rescuers to pull the victims out of the mangled metal wreckage.
