Pakistani Athlete Haider Ali won Pakistan’s first medal at Rio Paralympic 2016.
The 32-year-old all-rounder athlete won the Bronze medal at the men’s long jump category, making the win Pakistan’s first this year.
China’s Shang Guangxu won the Gold medal while Brazil’s Evangelista Cardoso Mateus bagged silver in the long jump competition
This is the second time Ali has brought home a win, the last time being at the Paralympic Games held in Beijing, China in 2008, where the athlete won the silver medal.
Haider, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, had covered a record distance of 6.44 metres at the China 2008 Games.
