Across Punjab 593 cases have been registered and 297 persons have been arrested across for using loudspeaker to incite violence.
According to Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Mushtaq Sukhera while talking to local media news channel said that strict action will be taken against extremists, those inciting violence and accessories to terrorists across Punjab.
He also claimed that the police have begun the crackdown and that it will continue until elimination of such elements in the province.
In Lahore, the Mughalpura police also took speaker of Jamia Masjid Hanafia Shamsia into custody over abuse of loudspeaker.
