After fuel crisis in Punjab, longs queues outside fuel filling stations on Monday evening have been witnessed in Karachi.
According the All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, widespread rumours caused consumers to buy extra fuel in panic and almost twenty five percent of petrol stations had already shut down.
Shabbir Sulemanji, the president of the All Pakistan Petroleum petrol pumps had been shut down in areas including Clifton, Defence, New Karachi, and the old city areas.
He called upon Karachi citizens to buy only as much fuel for their vehicles as required.
Spokesman of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), said that petrol supply to fuel stations had not been reduced.
