A team comprising personnel of Sindh police arrived in Dubai to bring the notorious gang-lord Uzair Jan Baloch, back to Pakistan.
“We are in seamless touch with the Interpol and the government of United Arab Emirates (UAE). Baloch will be handed over to Pakistan after a tedious legal process. It is imperative for us to fulfill all the mandatory requirements before the absconder is deported,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaja told the media upon his arrival at Dubai airport.
It must be mentioned here that on the request of Pakistan, Interpol had issued red warrants for two fugitive Lyari gangsters namely Uzair Baloch and Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla in June last year.
“The Interpol had captured Lyari’s most notorious gangster, who is wanted for multiple violent crimes including homicide, when he tried to enter United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Oman last month,” a police official told the media.
The master ganglord landed in the hands of international police after his Iranian passport turned out to be counterfeit.
The extradition team, led by Khawaja, comprises SSP Crime Investigation Department (CID) Usman Bajwa and DSP Kharadar Zahid Hussain.
