Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has started taken action to stop the transmission of BOL news channel on instructions of Ministry of Information.
Earlier today, the federal ministry in a letter to PEMRA to make sure the TV channel remains off-air for as long as its parent company Axact was facing a probe into the fake degree scam.
The letter stated “The TV channel should be blocked under the PEMRA Ordinance 2007”
According to sources, PEMRA management has requested legal department to solicit opinion on the matter.
