The government may slash the prices of petroleum products by Rs6.15 a litre from September, 2015.
According to sources in Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), a summary will be send to Petroleum Ministry for approval to cut down to Rs70.89 per litre. The price of high speed diesel is expected to be reduced by Rs5.30 per litre.
