No hurdles will be allowed to hamper CPEC: Shahbaz

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday that no hurdles will be allowed to hamper the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Speaking to the visiting Chinese delegation, the chief minister lauded the $43 billion Chinese investment terming it a great gift for Pakistan from the Chinese President which the people of Pakistan will never forget. Sharif said the CPEC will not only have a positive impact on Pakistan but rather on the entire region.

The chief minister added that the orange line metro service in Lahore another project made possible with Chinese cooperation will be completed on time and will be operational soon.

The chief minister also stated that students from Pakistan may be sent to Jilin Province for training in different fields including engineering.
