The board of directors of Bank Alfalah Limited has appointed Nauman Ansari, formerly CEO of Faysal Bank as new president and CEO.
The board of directors of Bank Alfalah Limited in the board meeting held on June 20 accepted resignation of Atif Bajwa.
According to internal communication issued on late Wednesday night stated that Bajwa is stepping down for personal reasons.
Bajwa remained the president and CEO of the bank for over five years.
In his 24 years professional career Ansari has served various banks including leading financial institutions like Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of America, ABN Amro, Fortis Bank and Samba Bank. He is a business graduate from Miami University, USA.

Prior joining bank Alfalah, Ansari was the president and CEO of Faysal Bank.
Board Chairman Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan in a statement to the employees of the bank said “He (Ansari) will provide strong and effective leadership to meet the bank’s strategic objectives and build the franchise further,”
