Islamabad: With the onset of winter residents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi become victims of low gas pressure, coupled with unscheduled gas load-shedding residents are now forced to use firewood to cook food in the Islamabad Capital Territory.
Without availability of gas those rushing to offices do so, on an empty stomach. Seeing their husbands and children go without food housewives came out to collect wood for firing their stoves on Saturday.
Due to the shortage sources add that getting LPG is also difficult. Areas of Islamabad affected include I-9, G-6, G-7, G-9, G-11 and Banigala as well.
Similarly many areas of Rawalpindi are also without gas.
No gas in Quetta either
In the provincial capital of Balochistan the situation is no different. With the onset of winter residents of Quetta are left braving the extreme cold without any gas to fire their heaters due to the low pressure.
Residents of Quetta appealed through Geo News that the government provide them Gas. Sources add that other areas of Balochistan are also affected by the low gas pressure.
