Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has said that whenever free and fair investigations were held, it will reveal massive rigging in the General Elections 2013.
Addressing the participants at the PTI sit-in on Friday, he said, “I was at the front for the restoration of Iftikhar Chaudhry, yet I was extremely disappointed over the judiciary’s inaction on irregularities in the elections”.
The PTI chairman alleged that the former CJ was involved in the match-fixing of the May 11 elections. He said quite plaintively, “We took our case to all the relevent fora during the past 16 months and ended up here in Islamabad, because nobody bothered ti listen to us”.
Khan added, “We came out on the roads demanding justice and it is our democratic right”.
He slammed the government for a crackdown on PTI workers and inquired the judiciary to inform under which law PTI workers are being arrested.
He said that government also arrest DJ Butt, who was not even the worker of PTI, rather the party was paying him in return of his services.
