The Anti-Terrorism Court of of the federal capital earlier today handed over three accused in MQM leader Imran Farooq murder case to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on seven-day physical remand.
Accused Moazzam Ali, Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim were produced before the court amid tight security.
Judge Kosar Abbas of the ATC heard the plea filed by FIA for 10-remand of the accused and handed over them to the investigation agency for 7 days.
On Sunday, a duty magistrate had handed over the three accused FIA on physical remand.
The FIA registered a case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and other party leaders in the murder of former MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq in London on Saturday.
Dr Farooq – a senior leader of the MQM – was murdered outside his home in London in 2010.
