Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Saturday visited Bakakhel IDPs camp in Bannu after his visit of Mir Ali to pass the 48th Defence Day with military troops fighting terrorists in North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that General Sharif visited Bakakhel Camp of the displaced persons of North Waziristan in Bannu today after passing the Defence Day with Army troops in Mir Ali.
Addressing the IDPs, General Sharif urged for an early return of the IDPs to their homes in Waziristan.
Gen. Sharif said that the Army was serving the IDPs in any possible way and with utmost care.
Pakistan’s armed forces are fighting in North Waziristan region bordering Afghanistan, to get rid of the militants involved in hundreds of terrorist attacks in the width and breadth of the country.
