Kuwait: An explosion rocked a Shia mosque in Kuwait during afternoon prayers on Friday.
The bomb targeted al-Imam al-Sadiq mosque in the centre of Kuwait City, the capital of the small Gulf State, on Friday afternoon.
Early reports suggested that at least three people had been killed and a number of injured, although it was not immediately possible to verify the casualty numbers.
Photographs purporting to be from the scene showed people in blood-stained white robes on the floor of the mosque, which was covered with debris from the blast.
