Lahore: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the Baldia Town factory arson cannot be ignored.
Nawaz addressing to Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) said that he has seen the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report of Baldia Town factory fire incident.
He vowed that “All the legal requirements would be fulfilled in Baldia Town tragedy,”
He further added that “Target Operation is continuing successfully in Karachi and law and order situation there has improved to a great deal,” he said.
Nawaz also urged media to extend their cooperation to government in implementing the National Action Plan (NAP).
Nawaz also urged media while to hold itself accountable and evolve an effective code of ethics.
He said the country is passing through the most difficult times and responsibility rests with all the institutions including the media to play their role to steer the country out of all the challenges.
The PM also said that media can criticise the government but should refrain from completely putting them down and in case of any issues the government can be approached for help where matters would be resolved together.
