The heaviest storms in more than a century have sparked floods throughout Bosnia and Serbia, claiming at least 30 lives and leading to the evacuation of more than 16,000 people officials said yesterday.
The death toll may rise as more bodies are discovered.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic told reporters that “rescuers have started recovering dead bodies from flooded areas, but we will not make the number public before the complete withdrawal of the water.”
