Assad Murtaza Gilani, former MNA and nephew of former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, embraced martyrdom in yesterday’s stampede at Mina in Saudi Arabia.
Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani talking to local news channels confirmed the sad news and said “Three bodies were brought to a small mosque in Mina. When these bodies were checked, one of them was found to be Assad Gilani,”
“We have received a photo of Assad Gilani’s dead body from his friends,” he said.
The former premier, however, said that he was waiting for official confirmation from Pakistani officials who were in Saudi Arabia.
