Abeera Iqbal aka Areeba’s dreams to hit the ramp as a top fashion model one day ended in a hands of a rapist.
A member of police of investigation team revealed some hidden facts regarding Areeba murder case. According to police official, the real name real name of accused girl arrested by police is Uzma Rao.

The officer also added that , the case opened after the slain girl was identified by her brother. Autopsy revealed her she was ravished before someone squeezed her throat to kill her.
The facts also reveals that Areeba was not trying to become a model rather she was a model for many years. However, her passion to be a top model took her to make-up artist Uzma Rao alias Tooba’s house, where she was alleged strangled by a man after a sexual assault.
With the help of the CCTV footage recorded by the surveillance cameras on the Sherkot bus stand, police collared Tooba, who was named by the owner of the girls’ hostel Abeera was lodged in.
On Tuesday, a private banker, Farooq, was arrested after Tooba claimed that he had a hand in Areeba’s murder. However, Abeera had allegedly met Farooq 10 days before her death at Tooba’s house.
The facts also revealed that the victim was not a student of B.Sc at Punjab University and the Registrar’s office has also confirmed the same.
The facts also reveals that Areeba’s terms with the family were not good as no one bothered to notice her not being in the picture even 40 days after she was murdered.
The facts also shows that Areeba’s brother Zohaib Iqbal Bhatti lodged an FIR at Wahdad Colony Police Station after not hearing from his sister for a long time. Bhatti, identified her from the pictures of those women whose unclaimed dead bodies had been found recently.
Bhatti while talking to media said that there was always a little but a regular communication between Areeba and family for the last nearly two years..
Deceased girl’s father, Muhammad Iqbal Bhatti is a widower. Among her sibling are two brothers, Javed and Zohaib Iqbal Bhatti, and a sister Uzma. Her family wants justice and nothing less than that.
“Areeba was an epitome of congeniality. She would not say boo to a goose. How can someone be so stonehearted to do such a terrible thing to an unthreatening girl like her? Had our mother been alive today she would not have stood this shock. We want her killers hanged until death,” said she.
