Islamabad: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) in its drive against drug trafficking conducted nine operations across country, which resulted in recovery of 21.6kg of heroin, 33.6kg of charas, 18kg of opium and 900g of Ice (amphetamine).
During these operations, ANF arrested 14 drug traffickers including 4 women, one of them a Nigerian woman. The total value of the recovered drugs amounts to approximately Rs245 million in international market.
According to details, an ANF Rawalpindi airport team during routine surveillance rounded up a Nigerian woman, Uche Lilian Ezegioha, and recovered 600g of heroin from her possession, concealed in her luggage. She was going to board Qatar Airline Flight No QR-631 to Lagos via Doha.
Meanwhile, the ANF Rawalpindi Road Check team following a tip-off intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car bearing registration number NCP-DMR-01-1011 at the River View Road near Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground, Jutial, Gilgit and recovered 9kg of charas.
