Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain, today, withdrew his decision to quit party leadership, hours after he announced to resign as head of the MQM.
Altaf Hussain reportedly retracted his decision “on insistence of party workers.”
Earlier, Altaf Hussain said he would not continue as MQM supremo apparently being dejected by party leaders’ lackluster response to critics as well as political opponents.
The MQM chief also criticized Imran Khan while addressing party leaders and office-bearers through telephone from London at party headquarters Nine Zero.
“Imran Khan abused me, but all of you remained silent, I can’t tolerate abuses anymore which I have been hearing for last 40 years… Select any of your seniors as new leader by this evening. I can’t continue any longer,” Altaf Hussain said, as his workers requested him to withdraw the decision.
The MQM chief has already ‘resigned’ multiple times only to retract his resignations within hours.
