Three terror suspects were killed in an encounter with the police in Baldia Town area of the city late yesterday night, while two policemen were also injured, the police said.
According to the IG Sindh Police officer, the encounter took place in Ittehad Town neighbourhood of Baldia Town. The identities of the suspects or injured policemen could not be ascertained so far, he added.
The police retaliated after some miscreants threw a hand-grenade at a police patrol van and fired shots. After an exchange of fire, the police killed three suspected terrorists.
The police have commenced investigations into the incident.
