Zoya Khan, dubbed Delhi’s ‘Lady Don,’ the wife of jailed gangster Hashim Baba, was arrested in North East Delhi with 270 grams of heroin, worth Rs 1 crore globally.
Zoya, 33, took over Hashim Baba’s gang after his imprisonment. Known for murder, extortion, and arms smuggling, Baba relied on his third wife to manage operations. Police likened her to Haseena Parkar, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. She oversaw extortion and drug supply, evading solid evidence until this bust.
The Delhi Police Special Cell acted on a tip. They nabbed Zoya in the Welcome area, catching her with heroin from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The Special Cell and Crime Branch struggled to pin her down for years. This time, they succeeded.
Zoya’s Flashy Life and Criminal Ties
Unlike typical crime bosses, Zoya flaunted luxury. She partied with elites, wore designer clothes, and boasted a huge social media following. Visiting Baba in Tihar Jail, she learned coded language to run his empire. Police say she is linked with his associates and other criminals, including ties to Lawrence Bishnoi.
Zoya’s name surfaced in the Nadir Shah murder case. Shah, a gym owner, was killed in Greater Kailash-1 in September 2024. Last month, the Special Cell grilled her at Lodhi Colony. Baba, linked to Bishnoi, allegedly confessed to the hit from jail, coordinating via illicit calls.
Crime runs deep for Zoya. Her mother, out on bail, was jailed in 2024 for sex trafficking. Her father tied to drug networks. Operating from Usmanpur, Zoya commanded 4-5 armed loyalists. North East Delhi’s gangs—like Hashim’s—thrive on drugs and violence.
Zoya funneled Baba’s extortion riches. Her arrest cracks a major criminal web. Will it dismantle Hashim’s empire or spark retaliation? Delhi police aim to find out.
