Belarusian fashion brand ZNWR has sparked amusement and debate with its latest creation: clothing made entirely from transparent bubble wrap.

Renowned for its cutting-edge styles, ZNWR continues to challenge fashion norms with this distinctive line.

A TikTok user discovered the bubble wrap clothing at the ZNWR store in Minsk’s Dana Mall, sharing a video that soon went viral, attracting over 100,000 views. The collection features a transparent dress priced at 280 Belarusian rubles ($86) and a jacket for 380 rubles ($116).

These pieces, designed for fashion-forward individuals seeking a standout outfit for New Year’s Eve, have elicited various responses.

On TikTok, the social media user playfully dubbed the dress and jacket “anti-stress” attire, a nod to the bubble wrap’s irresistible pop. Some viewers humorously commented on popping the bubbles, while others debated whether the collection represents a genuine fashion endeavour or a whimsical trial.

Despite some scepticism, the bubble wrap collection from ZNWR is genuine and exclusive, with only 20 dresses and 20 jackets produced. ZNWR’s Instagram promotes the collection as a unique holiday wardrobe choice, offering an avant-garde alternative to traditional velvet and satin.

ZNWR’s bold designs have drawn comparisons to Balenciaga, earning it the nickname “Balenciaga of Belarus” for its flair for creating high-fashion, albeit unconventional and costly, items.
