Lahore: Zimbabwe’s tour to Pakistan, which hung in the balance yesterday, will go ahead as scheduled this weekend, Zimbabwean newspaper revealed, according to local media sources.
The Herald was told last night that Pakistani authorities had provided fresh and concrete guarantees that the Zimbabwe cricket team will be safe in their country and the tour was back on radar as originally scheduled.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan also expressed happiness over the decision of Zimbabwe Cricket not postponing the tour.
Reports yesterday said the tour had been cancelled amid fresh security threats following attack on a bus in Karachi.
