Amazon has announced support for the Xbox app on its latest Fire TVs, allowing users to stream and play popular titles through Xbox Game Pass. The move expands cloud gaming access and brings console-quality experiences directly to the living room via smart TVs.
The Xbox app is currently supported on two Fire TV model ranges: the Fire TV 4-Series and the Fire TV Omni QLED lineup. The Fire TV 4-Series is available in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch sizes. The Fire TV Omni QLED models are available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes.
Amazon has said it plans to roll out Xbox app support to more Fire TV models in the future, but has not yet shared a timeline or confirmed which additional devices will receive it.
Earlier this year, Amazon also added Xbox Game Pass support to its streaming hardware, including Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Cube. Microsoft already offers the Xbox app on select LG and Samsung smart TVs.

How to play Xbox games on Amazon Fire TVs
To start playing, users need to download the Xbox app from the Amazon Appstore on a compatible Fire TV. A Microsoft account with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription is required.
Xbox Game Pass subscriptions currently start at $9.99 per month for the basic tier and go up to $29.99 per month for the Ultimate plan, following a price increase introduced in October.

Players also need a compatible controller. Xbox Game Pass supports a wide range of controllers, including Microsoft’s official Xbox controllers as well as Sony’s DualSense and DualShock 4.
With cloud gaming removing the need for dedicated hardware, Amazon Fire TVs are quickly becoming an all-in-one entertainment hub for streaming, gaming, and more.
