Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain Wednesday said his party has been campaigning for the cause of protecting the rights of the people belonging to a downtrodden class and for building an enlightened society in the country.

“We hate oppression and love peace,” said Altaf Hussain while addressing via telephone the workers and supporters of his party on the occasion of 36th founding day of All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization (APMSO) here.

He said he only bows his head before Allah Almighty and thanked the people who protested against his arrest by Metropolitan police in London. “Neither the US nor UK or any other international force could force me to bow my head,” he asserted.
