In Karachi, outside the Gulberg Police Station, several women were harassed by police officers for parking their motorcycles.

The confrontation escalated when the police deflated the motorcycle’s tyres and attempted to confiscate the women’s mobile phones as they tried to record the event.

The affected women stated that they had visited the police station for official purposes and found themselves unfairly targeted for merely parking their motorcycle outside the DSP’s office located within the station’s premises. Their efforts to capture the undue harassment on video were met with attempts from the police to seize their mobile phone.

The incident, which was captured on video and subsequently went viral on social media, prompted a response from the Sindh Police.

A spokesperson affirmed that appropriate actions would be taken against those found responsible. Further, SSP Central took official notice of the matter and directed the SDPO to initiate a thorough inquiry into the events.
