Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz stated on Tuesday that peace would not prevail in FATA till border management was not done.
Sartaj Aziz also said that border management with Afghanistan was necessary. He went on to say that Pakistan had no favourites in Afghanistan and that it strictly followed a policy of non-interference with regard to Afghanistan.
“Pakistan is part of the KASA 1000, TAPI gas pipeline and the Pak-Iran gas pipeline. We are part of so many projects, it is a success. How can we be isolated?” he said.
Sartaj Aziz also said that Pakistan was also about to become a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which would help alleviate the country’s political status.
On the issue of Modi, Sartaj said that Pakistan was not concerned regarding the Indian Premier’s visit to Islamic countries. He emphasized that Pakistan’s relations with Muslim countries were religious, social and historic. Sartaj said that he had represented Pakistan in OIC and other organizations in the past.
Sartaj Aziz claimed that Pakistan had successfully stopped India’s entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group. Regarding his position, Aziz said that he had never felt his designation was small.
