Property tycoon Malik Riaz responded on social media following the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raid on the Bahria Town headquarters in Islamabad to obtain land documents for Al-Qadir University.
On Twitter, Riaz clearly stated his position relative to ongoing legal pressures, particularly concerning former Prime Minister Imran Khan. “Malik Riaz will not become a state witness,” he tweeted. Do whatever oppression you want to me,” Riaz added, showcasing his resolve in adversity.
The tweet on Sunday was a direct response to the pressures Riaz described as attempts to coerce him into acting against Khan. He expressed that significant efforts had been made for over a year to push him to compromise his principles for political objectives.
Riaz’s refusal to be swayed was emphatically summarized in his statement, “Over my dead body.” This declaration reflects his determination to maintain his stance and underscores his refusal to exploit his influence and position for political manoeuvres.
