Trevor Noah acted coy when asked about his rumored connection with singer Dua Lipa.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the host of The Daily Show discussed his future endeavors after announcing his departure from Comedy Central’s talk show.
Regarding the tabloids’ interest in his personal life, the publication stated that Noah, 38, was continually frustrated.
The comic described a time when he met up with a married couple, both of whom were his friends, and hugged the wife, only for a photograph of the embrace to be published in the tabloids alongside queries about the “new woman” in his life.
“And then the family phones the husband and says, ‘Oh my God, Trevor is having an affair with your wife,'” he recalled, “and my friend is like, ‘I’m in the photo,’ and they’re like, ‘Well, that’s not what the tabloids say.'” And I am astounded by how potent these things are.”
When asked about the “recent news” linking him to Dua Lipa, he simply laughed and sat back in his chair.
Noah and Lipa were spotted on a date at Miss Lily’s in the East Village of New York City in September 2022, according to Page Six. Noah and Lipa have remained silent about their new relationship.
An insider told the magazine at the time that the Don’t Start Now singer was “smitten” with the soon-to-be-former host of The Daily Show, who was a “gentleman” the entire evening.
According to the insider, while the outing was “clearly a date,” the two were still in the “very early” phases of a potential relationship. Even though they went home “separately” at the end of the night, they shared a “corner lip kiss.”
