Batting first, Pakistan Champions posted 195-5, driven by Sharjeel Khan’s aggressive 76 (nine fours, four sixes). Umar Amin added 36, Asif Ali scored 28, Shoaib Malik made 20, and Mohammad Hafeez contributed 17, with Kamran Akmal out for 2. South Africa’s Viyajon and Wayne Parnell each claimed two wickets, keeping Pakistan’s total in check.
Pakistan, which had been unbeaten until the final, struggled with bowling accuracy and was unable to counter South Africa’s aggressive batting, particularly highlighted by de Villiers’ masterclass. Despite a strong performance throughout the tournament, Pakistan’s bowling faltered under pressure, allowing South Africa to take control of the game. This victory emphasises South Africa’s superior strategy and execution in the high-stakes final.
