A video about the alleged honey trap scandal involving playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar has surfaced online. The video captures the moments leading up to the incident.
The footage shows prime suspects Amina Arooj and Hasan Shah preparing the camera before Qamar’s arrival. They are seen relaxing on the couch, where Qamar later sits unsuspectingly beside Urooj, who had lured him to her home to discuss a new soap opera project.
Shortly after Qamar settled in, armed assailants burst in, assaulted him, and forcibly took him on a drive during which they robbed him of his valuables. The ordeal ended with the abductors abandoning Qamar in a remote area and fleeing.
Responding to Qamar’s formal complaint, the Organised Crime Unit of Model Town swiftly arrested 12 individuals, including Arooj, a week after the incident. The charges filed against them include dacoity and wrongful confinement.

Further investigations led to the arrest of Hasan, the alleged mastermind, and his associate Rafiq in Peshawar. Authorities also uncovered an objectionable video of Qamar, which Hasan had disseminated online.
