Aryna Sabalenka became an overnight internet sensation with her dance moves at the Australian Open on Sunday night.
Following her victory over Sloane Stephens in straight sets, on-court interviewer Jelena Dokic asked Sabalenka to perform a TikTok dance routine previously featured in a pre-tournament social media post. “I’m not the best dancer, but I’ll try my best,” Sabalenka admitted to the crowd at Rod Laver Arena, adding, “But only if the whole crowd will join in.”

The audience was thrilled as the Belarusian, a two-time defending champion, enthusiastically participated, prompting some fans to dance along, enhancing the festive atmosphere on the opening night at Melbourne Park.
Australian actress Rebel Wilson was in the audience, enjoying the moment and dancing as Sabalenka and Dokic performed.

Despite the fun, Sabalenka joked that she would prefer to stick to her tennis skills in the future. “Now they have proof that I’m the worst dancer,” she laughed, light-heartedly acknowledging her dance attempt.
