At least 12 executions have been carried out in different cities this morning (Tuesday)
Faisalabad
Nawaz, was hanged till death in Faisalabad’s Central Jail at 5:30am. He murdered two people over water dispute in Sangla Hill in 1992.
Karachi
Two convicted prisoners were sent to gallows as the day broke today. The duos killed a man for resisting a robbery attempt in 1992.
Rawalpindi
Nadeem Zaman and Javed, executed in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi. Zaman has a murder case lodged against him in Airport police station and convict Javed was involved in murder case registered at Kalar Saeedan.
Mianwali
Two convicts Zafar Iqbal and Rab Nawaz were hanged in central jail Mianwali. Iqbal had killed his father in 2003, while Nawaz had murdered a woman in the year 2000.
Gujranwala
Muhammed Iqbal was hanged till death in Gujranwala’s Central Jail. The deceased killed his close relative in 1996.
Jhang
Mubashir Abbas, Muhammed Sharif and Riaz were executed in Jhang’s District Jail.
Convict Riaz had committed a murder in 1995 during a domestic dispute. The other two prisoners, Mubashir and Sharif, had kidnapped and murdered a taxi-driver in 2012
Multan
Zafar Iqbal has been executed in Multan. The offender murdered a baby girl after torturing her in 1996.
Whereas, Waqar Nazir, who was pardoned by the victims family shortly before the execution was about to take place. Waqar had killed Taufeeq in Multan in 1996.
Dera Ghazi Khan
Execution order was stayed in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Death sentence of Asghar Ali was halted at the central jail in Dera Ghazi Khan after the victim’s family pardoned the murder convict.
