Two law enforcement personnel were injured in the target raid when a suspected terrorist of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) blew himself up during a police raid on his residence in Karachi.
According to police sources, Karachi Rangers and Police conducted a raid on tipoff on house of Farhan alias Pahelwan in Malir’s Rafah-e-Aam society.
SSP Malir, Rao Anwar while talking to media said that Farhan opened fire on police and Rangers when the law-enforcing personnel besieged his residence.Farhan blew himself up inside the house where he had been living for last one year.
The SSP said two policemen were injured in the shootout.
“He was wanted in many cases of terrorism and target killing of some high-profile figures,” Rao Anwar said,
Police has also recovered hand grenades and a 9mm pistol from the militant’s house after the action.
