US President Donald Trump revealed he told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that war with Pakistan “should not happen” during a Diwali call. “We talked about trade… and avoiding conflict,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “Although we did talk about, let’s have no wars with Pakistan. The fact that trade was involved, I was able to talk about that.”
Trump praised Modi as a “great person” and “friend,” saying, “We have no war with Pakistan and India. That was a very good thing.”
