Mexican influencer and animal rights activist Elena Larrea has tragically died at 31. Her organization announced her passing was due to a pulmonary thrombosis, which led to a fatal blood clot in her lung. This condition emerged shortly after she underwent liposuction, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Cuacolandia, the animal rescue shelter she established, confirmed her death last Thursday. In a heartfelt statement, they honoured her as their founding president and pledged to uphold her legacy of advocating for animals’ freedom and well-being in Mexico.
The statement emphasized, “We’ll miss you,” reflecting the deep loss felt by the Cuacolandia community, the Larrea family, and her close associates who shared her commitment to animal rights.
Larrea’s influence extended beyond her Instagram following 525,000, most notably through her unwavering dedication to animal welfare. She founded Cuacolandia to provide refuge for abused and abandoned equines.
Other animal rights groups also mourned her tireless efforts, including the Puebla Animal Rights Movement, which recognized her as a courageous animal champion and an inspiration to future generations.
Aside from her activism, Larrea explored OnlyFans as a venture to support her animal welfare projects, gaining recognition on the platform and using the proceeds for her philanthropic efforts.
Sergio Salomón, the governor of Puebla, acknowledged her contributions and assured continued support for Cuacolandia from the Ministry of Environment, ensuring her impactful work endures.
