In a harrowing incident on the Hazara Expressway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a routine traffic stop quickly escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in serious casualties at the Hazara Bedra Interchange.

According to the police report, highway police attempted to issue a citation to a driver, who opened fire on the officers. The alleged suspect in Suzuki Mehran’s car travelling from Peshawar to Mansehra retaliated against the ticketing by shooting at the officers, tragically resulting in Sub-Inspector Aamir’s death and wounding two others.

District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra, Shafiqullah Gandapur, who promptly visited the hospital following the incident, confirmed that the suspect had been identified and that intensive efforts were underway to apprehend him. He emphasized the police’s commitment to bringing the suspect to justice and stated that stringent legal actions are anticipated against him.
