A special court on Saturday sentenced Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and his wife Bushra Bibi to 17 years of rigorous imprisonment each in the Toshakhana 2 case.
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand delivered the verdict at Adiala Jail after completing 80 hearings. The case centres on the purchase of a high-value Bulgari jewellery set at a price far below its assessed value.
According to the judgment, the court sentenced both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to 10 years’ imprisonment under Section 409 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The court added another seven years under Section 5 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947. Together, the sentences total 17 years for each convict.

The verdict marks another major legal development for the PTI founder, who already faces multiple cases linked to allegations of corruption and misuse of authority. Legal experts say the ruling may shape future proceedings connected to Toshakhana references and public office accountability.
