At least five people have been killed and 20 others have sustained injuries in blast at Hazara Town, Quetta.
According to initial details, the blast took place in a market in Aliabad.
Police suspect a suicide bomb blast.
The dead and injured have been shifted to the Bolan Medical Complex.
Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area.
Dozens of ambulances and rescue workers were also rushed to the site soon after the blast.
Police said that a temporary bazaar had been set up ahead of Eid festivities. “More than a hundred people were present in the bazaar when blast occurred,” a police official in Hazara Town said.
