Karachi: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed great pleasure at the concrete pouring ceremony of the KANUPP K-II project on Thursday, terming the project an example of strong Pak-China relations.
Speaking on the occasion the prime minister praised the Chinese government for its continued support of Pakistan. He added that the international community’s perception of Pakistan is changing.
The prime minister also spoke about the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) as well as the recent attacks that claimed the life of Punjab Home Minister Col (r) Shuja Khanzada in Shadi Khan and the one in Karachi that has left MQM leader Abdul Rasheed Godil fighting for his life. He added, that terrorist activities and attacks will not stop the government’s mission.
Earlier when the prime minister arrived on a one-day visit to Karachi, he was received by the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, the Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and other dignitaries.
Later today the prime minister will chair the apex committee meeting at the Governor House and is expected to meet with the Parsi community as well.
