Terror plan foiled as weapons seized in Bajaur

The security forces have recovered huge cache of weapons and explosives including suicide jackets in Bajaur Agency and foiled a sabotage attempt on Tuesday evening.

An official of the Bajaur Scouts told reporters that the weapons and the suicide jackets were recovered from the mountainous Dawagai area in Mamond tehsil during a search operation conducted by Frontier Crops (FC).

He said that the seizure were included three suicide jackets (full of explosives) one remote control bomb, three Kg explosives, one RPG Rifle, three Russian made hand-grenades, 11 pocket of Ball bearing, three SMG pistols, one Walkie- Talkie, four chargers, three knives, one radio set, one search light, three pair of shoes, three bleeds, 32 bullets, four books on explosives and a number of bomb making materials were also seized in the action.

He said that the explosives could cause destruction if they were not recovered timely.

The official added that the action is a part of Radd-ul-Fasaad operation aimed to rid the agency of weapons and anti-state elements. (APP)
