Tajikistan has inaugurated a visa section at its Consulate General in Karachi, significantly enhancing bilateral relations with Pakistan. This development upgrades the consulate to a full-fledged status, enabling the issuance of visas to Pakistani nationals wishing to visit Tajikistan.
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori officially launched the service at a ceremony attended by the Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan, SHARIFZODA Yusuf Toir, and other diplomatic officials.
Initially, a visa consular is stationed in Karachi, with plans to expand the staff based on the volume of applications received.

Governor Tessori highlighted that this initiative would simplify the visa acquisition process for Pakistanis, fostering tourism and facilitating the exchange of delegations between the two nations. He praised Ambassador Toir for this significant step forward in Pakistan-Tajikistan relations, emphasizing their joint commitment to regional prosperity and development.
Ambassador Toir expressed enthusiasm for Pakistan’s role in regional prosperity. Additionally, Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Convener of the Energy Standing Committee at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), commended the establishment of the visa section. He noted that it would ease visa procurement, especially for the business community, thus promoting bilateral trade.
Bakhsh emphasized the benefits of easier travel for traders, industrialists, and investors from both countries, which he said would lead to increased tourism and shared technological and resource benefits. He asserted that the visa section is a crucial step in strengthening the bilateral ties and enhancing the development and prosperity of the region.
