Sylvester Stallone is looking forward to Samuel L. Jackson’s debut in the third season of “Tulsa King.” The two legends will share the screen when the series returns on September 21, 2025. Stallone described their collaboration to Gold Derby as feeling like a “heavyweight prize fight.”
Stallone has known Jackson for 30 years. He praised Jackson’s commanding presence. “When he comes on set, he has a certain walk and voice,” Stallone said. Jackson developed a strong character that sparks with Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi.
Jackson’s character expands the Tulsa King universe. He will appear in the spinoff NOLA King. The show follows Manfredi reconnecting with Louisiana roots and building a criminal enterprise.

Stallone shared how he adjusts for TV. “The hardest thing in acting is to be unself-conscious and relaxed,” he said. He aims for natural performances while delivering for viewers.
Despite strong ratings, Tulsa King missed Emmy nods. Stallone joked, “Why do you think that is—is it my clothes?” He values fan love over awards. “The real reward is competing in a tough market,” he added.
