James Gunn’s Superman teaser has finally arrived, offering fans a thrilling 30-second glimpse of the highly anticipated film. The new footage showcases David Corenswet in the iconic role of Superman, soaring through the skies with breathtaking visuals.
Alongside a fresh look at Nicholas Hoult’s portrayal of Lex Luthor, the teaser features the most exhilarating shot of Superman in flight. A reworked version of John Williams’ legendary Superman theme enhances the visuals, blending iconic music with some footage from the previously released full trailer.
The teaser opens with a powerful scene of a battered Clark Kent (Superman) calling for help from Krypto, the Superdog. It quickly shifts to a heartfelt scene where Superman rescues a distressed young girl.
Luthor’s presence is also showcased, as he is seen arriving in the Arctic, clad in sharp sunglasses and seemingly searching for Superman’s hidden lair.
Familiar scenes from the first trailer reappear, including a fire-breathing monster wreaking havoc in Metropolis, Superman breaking out of what appears to be a glass cage, and a young boy raising a Superman flag. The teaser also features a showdown on a baseball field, Krypto coming to Superman’s aid, and a romantic moment between Superman and Lois as they float and dance together.
However, the real highlight of this teaser is the four seconds Superman is flying through the Arctic. The visuals are striking, as Superman weaves through towering glaciers precisely, echoing the exhilarating flight scenes from Top Gun: Maverick.
Superman will premiere in theatres globally on July 11, 2025. Fans are excitedly anticipating this thrilling, heartfelt, and visually impressive instalment in the DC universe.
