The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is excited to announce that Mr. Sumair Ahmad Syed, the Chief Operating Officer, has been named the Tournament Director for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to be hosted in Pakistan.
PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi expressed his confidence in Syed’s capabilities: “With his extensive administrative expertise and dedication to cricket, I am confident Sumair will orchestrate an exceptional ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, creating a memorable experience for players, officials, and fans.”
Naqvi further noted, “The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will demonstrate Pakistan’s capacity to host premier cricket events and highlight our deep-rooted passion for cricket and our famous hospitality.”
Tournament Director Sumair Ahmad Syed shared his enthusiasm: “I am deeply honoured to lead the planning for such a pivotal event, which is crucial not only to the PCB but also to our national supporters and fans. We are making strong progress, with scheduled stadium upgrades and ongoing collaborations with the International Cricket Council.”
“I am committed to closely collaborating with them and the ICC to surpass the achievements of past tournaments,” stated Syed.
