A suicide bomb explosion near the Islamabad Kacheri on Tuesday, resulting in twelve fatalities and twenty-one injuries.
Police officials confirmed the explosion involved a suicide bomber. Investigators recovered body parts, including a head, believed to belong to the attacker from the blast site.
Following the explosion, the targeted vehicle immediately caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames. Rescue teams quickly transported all injured victims to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for urgent medical treatment.
Hospital sources report several injured individuals remain in critical condition. Medical authorities express concern that the death toll could potentially rise due to the severity of injuries sustained.

A substantial contingent of police and security forces immediately sealed off the explosion area. The blast caused significant damage to nearby parked vehicles and motorcycles, though firefighters successfully extinguished the resulting fire.
Islamabad IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and the Chief Commissioner personally visited the blast scene. Both officials received comprehensive briefings about the incident and the ongoing investigative efforts.
