Students of the Nishtar Medical College surrounded the vehicle of senior politician, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and raised slogans of ‘Daghi, Dhagi’ and ‘Go Nawaz Go’.

According to details, 100 doctors and students of the Nishtar Medical College (NMC) intercepted the vehicle of Makhdoom Javed Hashmi when he was coming back after the funeral prayer of Shafiq Bhutta in Multan and started chanting ‘Daghi, Dhagi’ and ‘Go Nawaz Go’.

Hashmi had arrived at the NMC ground to offer the funeral prayers of Shafiq Bhutta.

The students declared Javed Hashmi their ideal, but complained that their sentiments were hurt after reports suggesting him to be joining Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

Female students also joined the protesters and kept his vehicle from moving out.

However, the protesters cleared his way, when Hashmi promised that he would not rejoin PML-N.
