The inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, scheduled for Monday, January 20, in Washington, D.C., promises a lineup of special guests and performers to celebrate the onset of Trump’s second term.
In light of the expected cold, organizers will move the event indoors to the Capitol Rotunda instead of hosting it outside. Prominent Republican leaders and Trump’s celebrity supporters will showcase their talents during the festivities.
Unlike the previous inauguration, which featured stars like Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, Trump’s ceremony will spotlight country music talent. Opera singer Christopher Macchio, who previously performed at the 2020 Republican National Convention, will deliver a poignant rendition of the national anthem. Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful,” accompanied by the Armed Forces Choir and Glee Club from the United States Naval Academy.

A Nostalgic Performance
Legendary country artist Lee Greenwood will perform his iconic “God Bless the USA,” adding a deeply personal touch to the ceremony. The president has been a friend of Kimberly—his wife—and mine for many years, and this is one of the most historic moments of our lives,” Greenwood told USA TODAY.
The celebrations will feature a performance by the iconic Village People, contributing a unique musical element to the inauguration, even with their nuanced perspectives on Trump’s politics.
The event marks a significant political milestone and showcases a blend of patriotic performances and personal connections, underscoring the celebratory atmosphere of the inauguration.
